THE RGB EXPERIENCE


This project was one of my first ones that caught the branch’s attention. In 1997 we developed an interactive portfolio on cd-rom for the austrian photographer Thomas Popinger. This cd-rom is a heavily loaded combination of visual attraction and interaction combined with a chilling soundtrack (exclusively mixed by Peter Kruder from Kruder & Dorfmeister) and advanced technical programming.

The possibility of managing and storing pictures to a virtual lightbox, filed on the computer for a review during later visits, was state of the art technology at that time. The final work got recognition in the german design magazine “PAGE” resulting in all 1.000 cd-roms being sold within 2 weeks. Tasks included screen-design, partial programming in director, and the extra smooth & habtic cd-rom packaging.
